  • After waking up in Brahma Muhurta, taking a bath, lighting a lamp in a Kalash, and remembering all the Gods and Goddesses and your ancestors.
  • Worship Lord Shankar and offer him offerings.
  • Call at least 11 Brahmins in your house serve them and feed them.
  • Donate things related to Navgarh to those 11 Brahmins
  • Feed crows, cows, and dogs.
  • Light a mustard oil lamp in the south direction at night.

Amavasya Vrat rules

In the Hindu religion, many people also keep fast on Amavasya day because it is believed that the environment is polluted on Amavasya day and hence there is a rule of eating food and keeping fast on Amavasya day. Amavasya Vrat Niyam is something like this – If you keep fast on Amavasya day, then please do not forget to worship Mahadev, make animals worship, and donate to Brahmins. Whatever food you eat or drink water on Amavasya day, make sure to add Tulsi leaves to it. On Amavasya day, do not eat any food item in which garlic, onion, or any tamasic thing has been added nor should oil be used in it.
